Udapalatha Pradeshiya Sabha area is bounded to the west by Gampola Municipality and Udunuwara Pradeshiya Sabha areas, to the east by Pathahewaheta Pradeshiya Sabha area, to the north by Kandy Four Gravets and Gangawatakorale Pradeshiya Sabha areas and to the south by Kotmale Pradeshiya Sabha area. Udapalatha Pradeshiya Sabha area is located between 7.10 North Latitude and 80.50 East Longitude, at a height of 495 m above sea level.
In extent, this region covers an area of 176.9 square kilometers and is consisted of 61 Grama Niladhari Divisions, two electorates namely, Gampola and Nawalapitiya and two Divisional Secretariat Divisions, namely Udapalatha and Doluwa.
In addition to this, the total population of this region (according to 2019 statistics) is 127717. Majority of them are Sinhalese and there are Muslim and Burgher ethnic groups as well.
My intention is to work with dedication in all possible means to achieve the aspirations of the public through a speedy development acting hand in hand with the Hon. Members and the staff of the Udapalatha Pradeshiya Sabha, committing myself to further the said activities through the employment of new technology. This website is launched, as one step of this process, to enable the services of the Udapalatha Pradeshiya Sabha to be reached by the service recipients and share other information with any interested party around the world.
